The Art of Bead Crochet
By Sandra Farinella
Beginner Friendly

Learn the fundamentals of bead crochet in this workshop. Students will leave class with the hands-on knowledge to begin crocheting bead ropes. With the logical and progressive steps taught in this class you will progress past the initial learning curve and be able to move on to crochet beautiful beaded ropes. Bead caps will finish off your focal necklace.

A great technique to learn, not only because of its beauty and versatility, but because of its portability (all beads are strung ahead of time, so no beads all over the airplane aisle or car floor!) Definitely the class to get you started.

Written instructions and diagrams will be distributed for reference, including some tips and tricks of the trade.

Origami Links
By Marianne Olbermann
For All Levels

Two-hole triangles nestle among seed beads and fire polish beads to form this delicate flower-like link, reminiscent of origami. So versatile, the links connect to create a lovely bracelet ... or necklace ... or singly worn as earrings. Choose a monochromatic palette or a mix of colors to change the look completely. Kalmbach Books has graciously allowed Beads Mosaic to teach this pattern to our customers in anticipation of their soon-to-be-published beading book.

Class fee: $50.00

By Marianne Olbermann
Beginner Friendly

The ancient but popular technique of netting can be found in almost all cultures on earth. The open areas between the beads result in a soft and lacy look. To create this collar we will learn vertical netting, resulting in points at the end of each row. Using seed beads and Czech fire-polished beads result in a lovely Cleopatra-style collar, classic enough for daytime wear and dressy enough for evening. Crystals or pearls can be substituted for a totally different look. Variations of the pattern will be discussed for your future necklaces, and written instructions will be distributed.

Wednesday, July 22 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Class fee: $50.00
